Grant Awards 2012

The Trustees of the Drama Circle Theatre Trust were delighted to make grants in 2012 to one of the applicants for financial assistance towards a specific course or project, designed to improve his or her skills or knowledge of some aspect of theatre. All the successful applicants presented themselves with interest and enthusiasm during their interviews.

The recipients of the grants were -

Conor Hinds who was a final year student at a Belfast school:

Conor has a range of drama qualifications as well as a talent for music and singing. He has a wide range of experience in radio and stage drama and musicals, as well as having played with Belfast Youth Orchestra and the Ulster Youth Orchestra. Conor applied for and was accepted for a place on the Foundation course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. The course did not provide any government funding so Conor has had to gather finance for his fees as well as living in London for a year. He used the Drama Circle Theatre Trust grant towards his fees.
