DRAMA CIRCLE THEATRE TRUST
Grant Awards 2010

The Trustees of the Drama Circle Theatre Trust were delighted to make grants in 2010 to two of the applicants for financial assistance towards a specific course or project, designed to improve his or her skills or knowledge of some aspect of theatre. All the successful applicants presented themselves with interest and enthusiasm during their interviews.

The recipients of the grants were -

Catherine Rees:

Grant towards acting training on the Certificate of Higher Education in Theatre Arts course at East 15 Acting School.  The course is proving enjoyable and rewarding. Catherine hopes to continue learning and growing as an actor and is confident that the groundwork training she is receiving will provide the tools to survive and compete in what is a very harsh business.  Living in London is very expensive but she finds that her budgetting skills have definitely been developed.

Matthew Richardson:

Grant made towards fees regarding a summer course with Youth Music Theatre UK which was to take place in August, 2010. However due to a clash of dates with another drama committment, Matthew was allowed by the course managers to defer his place for a year to 2011. The Trustees agreed that the grant which had been made could, in the untoward circumstances, be carried over to 2011.
